We are debuting Alison's vibrant and meticulous collage works in the gallery at our summer 2025 exhibition. The pieces have been created for us to demonstrate the breadth and beauty of her work.

He eye for detail and colour allows her to create a wide range of topics, including floral and animal, all inspired by the natural world and the countryside around her South Cotswold home.

The trio of exotic Passionflowers is typical of her ability to take a theme and work it through in different colourways whilst retaining motifs and treatments that allow them to work as a set, if desired.

The very appealing fox and hare, set on similar green backgrounds to suggest their woodland habitat, also operate individually or as a pair.

We're delighted to have her clever and feel-good images in the gallery.

  • ABOUT ALISON ADAMS

Alison is a mutli-media artist - and new to the gallery for summer 2025 with a selection of her colourful, intricate and inventive paper collages.

Her mother was an artist and she has always loved art and been creative. Her career took a very different path, however: she trained and worked as a dentist before having to quit due to contracting occupational mercury poisoning. She then retrained as a naturopath in order to recover her own health.

Now, in retirement, she has returned to art energised, excited, and animated by the chance to explore it again.

"The wild and crazy diversity of the natural world and the restorative power of nature are a constant inspiration to me. I work from home in the Cotswolds in Southwest England and my art is mostly sparked by the world around me."
