Fleur is new to the Gallery for 2025.
She makes here debut here with this trio of her new small garden paintings, where she plays with light and shadow to, almost literally, lead us down the garden path.
Each piece has been carefully composed to lead the eye into the scene via the play of light on the tops of leaves, plants and objects. The result is a trio of magical, slightly enchanted garden scenes which create a hint of vintage nostalgia.
ABOUT FLEUR GRABOW
Fleur lives Iin and has her studio near Tetbury in the Cotswolds, having spent many years living on The Chesapeake Bay in the United States.
Her aim is to celebrate light, colour and movement in her work through broken colour, brush marks and a broad range of values.
She learned her craft en plein air on the beaches and in the gardens of The Chesapeake. She studied with Cedric Egeli and John Ebersberger, proponents of “The Cape School”. She also trained with Louis Escobedo at The Easton School situated on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Currently, Fleur makes regular trips to Tuscany where she sketches and paints to find new inspiration.
